How to create Lease Policy in Aria Automation

Issue/Introduction

In Aria Automation 8.x, We can create lease policy to set an expiration time for the deployments.

Environment

Aria Automation 8.x

Resolution

Below steps needs to be followed to create lease policy.
 
1. Login to Aria Automation >Service Broker > Content & Policies
 
2. Under Policies, navigate to Definitions
 
3. Create new policy definition and name it as per your naming convention
 
4. Select the scope on which project, policy needs to be applied
 
5. Add the criteria as per your requirement and select the deployment that needs to be deleted
 
6. Choose enforcement type
 
7. Set the maximum & maximum total lease (days)
 
8. Set the grace period, if any
 
9. Create Policy.
 
10. Enforce the policy and preview it.
 
11. Set the Notification by adding the details for email server.
 
12. Once the policy is enforced, you will receive an email before one day of the deletion of the deployment.
 
13. Another email will be triggered before 15 mins of the deletion of the deployment.
 
14. Validate, if the deployment has been deleted.
