Title: License has expired

Alarm Description:

  • Purpose: To inform users that one license has expired.
  • Impact: One license has expired, the features licensed by this license are impacted.
  • Cause: One license has expired

Environment

VMware NSX 9.1 or higher

Resolution

Assign a new, non-expired license to [vCenter] or [NSX from License Hub]. Once assigned, log in to the NSX UI, navigate to System > Licenses, and click REFRESH to synchronize the latest licenses.

Additional Information

Prior to NSX 9.1, the user can add/delete the DLF license keys in NSX UI/API.

Starting from 9.1, NSX does not support the DLF license keys any more and NSX will retrieve the licenses from the registered VCs and ANS license Hub. The user can not create/delete licenses from NSX (UI and API).
