Resolution

Prior to removing the Edge bridge profile, make sure you remove any attached endpoints.

  1. Remove Bridge from Segment (if configured)
If your Edge Bridge Profile is bound to a segment:
    • Go to Networking > Segments
    • Click on the segment using the bridge.
    • Edit it and remove the bridging configuration.
    • Save the configuration.

  2. Check Edge Bridge Configuration
    Before making any changes:
    • Log in to NSX Manager UI.
    • Navigate to: Networking > Layer 2 Bridging
    • Verify if the Edge Bridge Profile is still actively used in any bridging configuration.
    • If used, delete or unbind it first. (You cannot delete the Edge or Bridge Profile if it is still associated with an active bridge)

  3. Delete Edge Bridge Profile
    Now that it’s unbound:
    • Navigate to: System > Fabric > Profiles > Edge Bridge Profiles
    • Select the profile.
    • Click Delete.

  4. Remove Edge from Transport Node Cluster
If the Edge is part of an Edge Cluster:
    • Go to: System > Fabric > Nodes > Edge Transport Nodes
    • If it's part of an Edge Cluster, remove it from the cluster before deletion.
