ACI-Device discovery issue

Issue/Introduction

• Unable to discover new Cisco ACI devices.

• Unable to re-discover existing ACI in the IP domain, however no issue seen in monitoring these devices.

• Getting one of the below discovery errors:

  • Exception during discovery : [Controller Failed to getConfig for Collector instance <collector-id>] 

  • Discovery Error [Kafka consumer has failed!]

• Deleting the impacted ACI device and its collectors and then discovering the same device again does not help.

• No issue seen in the Kafka configuration.

Environment

All supported releases of Smarts

Resolution

Try to reconfigure the IP domain and if that does not help then restart IP domain.
