Issue/Introduction

Introduction:

ENF and UID(0)

Question:

Our started task for ENF has a UID(0). Is this still required for CA COMMON SERVICES r14.1?

Environment:

CA COMMON SERVICES r14.1, z/OS 2.1

Answer:

The ENF component requires UID(0) or permission to the IBM Facility resource

BPX.SUPERUSER ONLY IF running ENF/USS. The ENF/USS component is used strictly

for CA-Top Secret or CA-ACF2 USS HFS Security (and nothing else). If you do

not have any requirement for this than UID(0) is not required or suggested.
