Tunnel Status shows "Service pipeline status is down" due to IP duplication for "HCX Intrasite Control"

Issue/Introduction

• HCX-IX appliance transport tunnel will remain up, but the appliance will show "Service pipeline status is down".
• There are two HCX environments without NSX, both of which use WAN optimization.
• There is no separate network for "HCX Intrasite Control" between the two environments.

Cause

If the "HCX Intrasite Control" network is shared between environments, the automatically assigned IPs may overlap, resulting in disconnection between HCX-IX and HCX-WO appliances.

Resolution

Use network profiles for "HCX Intrasite Control" to isolate networks between environments. See VMware HCX User Guide > Configuring and Managing the HCX Interconnect > Configuring the HCX Service Mesh > Create a Network Profile.
