"Error: [ ####-####-####-#### ] URL https://<VCD_FQDN> must be HTTP." is encountered while trying to change Syslog Server values.

Issue/Introduction

• Unable to change or add Syslog server values in Provider UI -> Administration -> Settings -> General -> Networking -> Syslog server and the below error is thrown:
  "Error: [ ####-####-####-#### ] URL https://<VCD_FQDN> must be HTTP."
• Network Browser logs indicates status as '400 Bad Request'
  

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.5.x

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x

Cause

This is due to the public address section having incorrect entries.

Resolution

The "HTTP (non-secure) Base URL" field in the Public Addresses section contains HTTPS value. Update it with the correct HTTP URL in the format: http://<VCD_FQDN>.
