Telegraf Agent Installation fails in Aria Operations with error "PrerequisiteCheckException: ESXi port connectivity check failed for esxfqdn:443".

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to install the Telegraf agent on a virtual machine (VM) from Aria Operations UI, the operation fails with the following error message:

PrerequisiteCheckException: ESXi port connectivity check failed for esxfqdn:443

Environment

Aria Operations 8.x and above

Cause

The source VM is unable to resolve the Cloud Proxy hostname.

Resolution

Update the DNS hosts file on the source VM to include an entry for the Cloud Proxy.
