VCF 9.0.0.0 installer gives an option to use an existing NSX Manager however this is not possible

Issue/Introduction

• In VCF 9.0.0.0 deployment there is a checkbox to "Use the NSX Manager connected to this vCenter as the management domain NSX Manager"

• If select the validation will fail advising that NSX must be at least 9.0 to be imported such as below message: 
  
  "NSX does not meet the minimum version requirement for Edge cluster import for <NSX-Manager-FQDN>

Please do not request Edge cluster import for NSX versions below 9.0.0.0. Domain sync may be used to import Edge clusters after NSX is upgraded."
  
  
  

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0.0.0

Cause

The VCF 9.0.0.0 installer does not currently support installation with an existing standalone NSX even though the UI presents this option.

Resolution

This is a known behaviour of VCF 9.0.0.0 and will be addressed in a future release.
