How to update TKGI configuration to reflect vCenter Datacenter name change

Issue/Introduction

This article outlines what areas of TKGI configuration to update after changing the vCenter Datacenter name.

Environment

TKGI on vSphere

Resolution

1. Rename the Datacenter name on vCenter
2. Update the datacenter name in BOSH and TKGI Tiles at the following locations:
   1. BOSH Director tile -> vCenter Config -> Datacenter Name
   2. TKGI tile -> Kubernetes Cloud Provider Configuration -> Datacenter Names
3. Review and apply pending changes.
4. Confirm the datacenter name is updated in BOSH and TKGi Tiles.
5. Check the cluster and pods status via kubectl reports good post datacenter name change.

Please note that Compute Profiles also need to be updated with the new Datacenter name as per KB .
