Issue/Introduction

The Available column on a Filesystem monitored by RCF270 shows "Invalid value"

Environment

Linux netSNMP Agent v5.6.1

Cause

The values returned by the Net-SNMP agent for hrStorageUsed are incorrect

The values returned by hrStorageUsed in the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB are incorrect. The value returned for Used far exceed the value for Total, therefore the value for Available returns invalid.

The issue is seen in Net-SNMP v5.6.1

Resolution

Use Net-SNMP v5.7.1.

OpenBSD users, the net/net-snmp port in CVS HEAD is already updated to 5.7.1.
