VMWare Live Site Recovery reporting errors after migrating SRM Appliances to another vCenter, but we are not able to register and use it.

Issue/Introduction

After migrating an existing VMware Live Site Recovery Appliance to a new vCenter there are issues with registration and site pairing.

Environment

VMware Live Site Recovery - All versions.

Cause

VMware Live Site Recovery does not support being migrated from one vCenter to another. This is due to when it is deployed it creates database entries specific to the vCenter it is deployed on.

Resolution

Deploy a new appliance for the vCenter that you would like it working on.
