Issue/Introduction

The execution of a local mode batch step is issuing the following error:

DB347011 Dbname SYSUSER invalid - binding subschema is IDMSSECU program RHDCRUAL

Environment

Release: All supported releases.

Cause

The utility is attempting to perform a profile look-up against the user catalog. This requires the presence of the SYSUSER segment in the DMCL in use by the utility. If there is no SYSUSER segment in the DMCL, the message is issued.

Resolution

Normally, any DMCL would have a SYSUSER segment. However it is possible that a specifically tailored DMCL for a given purpose may not have one. In this case, it is necessary to suppress the profile look-up by specifying USERCAT=OFF in SYSIDMS.
