In VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle, lifecycle tasks such as upgrades, inventory synchronizations, or day-two operations fail for products like Aria Operations.
The failed task details display the following error message: Error Code: LCMCOMMON30007 Verifying SSH connectivity failed. Either SSH is deactivated or Node is inaccessible.
To permanently resolve this issue, perform the following checks on the environment:
Identify the Target Node: Review the failure error message to identify the specific IP address of the appliance where SSH validation failed.
Validate Locker Credentials: Ensure the root password stored in the Aria Suite Lifecycle Locker exactly matches the current root password of the target appliance. Update the locker if the password has changed.
Confirm SSH Status: Log into the target appliance console and verify that the SSH service is enabled and actively running.
Check Network Connectivity: Verify that Port 22 (TCP) is open and routing successfully specifically between the Aria Suite Lifecycle appliance IP and the target node IP.
Workaround:
If you need to bypass the SSH validation temporarily to allow the lifecycle operation to proceed, follow these steps:
Navigate to the failed task in Aria Suite Lifecycle and click Retry.
Locate the Skip SSH validation field and enter true as the value.
Verify that the correct root password is provided in the retry prompt.
Click Submit to resume the operation.
