Issue/Introduction

You are trying to upgrade Aria Operation through Aria Suite Lifecyle, upgrade is failing with below details:

Error Code: LCMCOMMON30007

Verifying SSH connectivity failed. Either SSH is deactivated or Node is inaccessible.

However when you try to SSH to appliance via putty from local machine or Remote desktop you are able to connect successfully.

Environment

Aria Suite lifecycle 8.x

Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

Wrong root password used from LCM locker or Port 22 blocked between LCM and Aria Operations appliance.

Resolution

  • Click on 'show more' button and copy the complete Error message in a notepad.
  • Identify the IP address in the Error message on which the SSH validation is failing. Most likely this will be a Cloud Proxy appliance in Aria Operations as CPs are likely deployed in a different subnet outside of LCM.
  • Click on Retry and check which password is used from LCM locker for SSH.  Verify that this is correct password and you can SSH externally via putty from local machine or Remote desktop machine.
  • If yes, Then there is a Network issue between LCM appliance and Aria Operations appliance, most probably Port 22 is blocked on firewall. Please check with your Networking team

Alternative Workaround:

  • Click on Retry button
  • In the 'Skip SSH validation' field pass 'true' as value.
  • verify that the right password is used there.
  • Click submit.
