NVMe controller is not supported for MIRACLE LINUX 8.x / 9.x

Issue/Introduction

• NVMe controller is not supported when the VM’s Guest OS Version is set to "MIRACLE LINUX 8 (64-bit)" or "MIRACLE LINUX (64-bit)" for MIRACLE LINUX 8.x / 9.x on ESXi 9.0 or earlier.

Symptoms:

• When adding an NVMe controller to a VM configured with Guest OS Version "MIRACLE LINUX 8 (64-bit)" or "MIRACLE LINUX (64-bit)", the following error appears:

        Device Not Supported.

Environment

• VMware vSphere ESXi 9.0 or earlier

Resolution

To enable NVMe controller support on ESXi 9.0 or earlier:

 * For MIRACLE LINUX 8.x, set the Guest OS Version to "Other 4.x Linux (64-bit)".

 * For MIRACLE LINUX 9.x, set the Guest OS Version to "Other 5.x Linux (64-bit)".
