We noticed some new behavior with the Rally Adapter that did not used to be the case. 

Previously you could leave Username and Password blank for a Rally connection if you were using an API Key. 

Today I kept getting an 'invalid credentials porovided for connecting to the server' error when trying to create a connection. Adding my username, however, allowed the connection to go through as expected. So now it seems like you need a username with an API Key.

 

Steps to Reproduce: 

  1. Create a new Rally connection. 

  2. Fill in the Connection Name, URL, Application Category, and API Key. Do not include a User Name or Password. 

  3. Attempt to save the connection.

Expected Results: 

  • A new Rally connection is successfully created.

Actual Results:

  • Error is seen
