Issue/Introduction

In response to administrator feedback, SpanVA now includes a notification feature that alerts designated administrators when the Deletion Protection threshold is exceeded during any Active Directory (AD) synchronization cycle.

Resolution

Feature Details

Starting with version 1.15.3.167, SpanVA will automatically notify specific admin users when the number of deletions detected during an AD sync surpasses the configured threshold. This enhancement helps prevent accidental or malicious mass deletions from propagating into CloudSOC.

 

Who Will Be Notified?

Notifications will be sent to the following administrator roles configured within the SpanVA instance:

1. SpanVA Owners

Navigate to:
Settings > CloudSOC SpanVA > Status Monitor
Select the relevant SpanVA instance
Refer to the "SpanVA Owner" field on the details page

 

2.SpanVA Connection List Contacts

Navigate to:
Settings > CloudSOC SpanVA > SpanVA Setup (Tab)
Admins listed here will also receive notifications
