VMware Data Services Manager for VCF

Issue/Introduction

  • For an existing DSM installation, which has previously integrated correctly with vCenter, the following error is reported in the vSphere Client:

"ServiceAccount doesn't have view privilege on the vCenter root folder. Cause: The session is not authenticated."

  • Recreating the service account for DSM does not resolve the issue.

Environment

Data Services Manager 2.2.x

Resolution

Restart the DSM provider service:

On an SSH session to the provider, run:

systemctl restart provider.service
