Removal of SRM-com.vmware.vcDr Protected Attributes

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

The administrator removed the SRM-com.vmware.vcDr:::protected custom and global attributes, causing the SRM attribute value to go blank. 

Environment

Live Site Recovery 9.x

Resolution

The attribute com.vmware.vcDr:::protected is an automatically created tag used by SRM to identify virtual machines protected for disaster recovery.

Do not manually remove or modify this attribute unless you want to remove protection from the VM.

If this attribute is removed or missing for a protected VM, unprotect and then protect the VM again to allow SRM to recreate the tag correctly.
