Q&A about new endpoint
Q. With the latest SaaS Upgrade over the weekend, it seems that the Metric view domain changed from doi.dxi-na1.saas.broadcom.com to
apmgw.dxi-na1.saas.broadcom.com.
We have teams who have book marked direct urls to metric view e.g. doi.dxi-na1.saas.broadcom.com
A. This change was made in 25.7.1. and later. Please make new bookmarks.
Q. if a user is logged in, and this url is opened in another tab, why does it ask for tenant id ?
A. In the past, a browser login could only be performed to one tenant because data was global. Now, data is scoped on a per-tenant basis allowing logins to multiple tenants in the same browser window (multiple tabs). That url does not contain tenant identifier, and thus needs to be entered.
The customer can reference this URL, provide their tenantid, username, and password. Once logged in and directed to the appropriate location, they can then copy that URL and reference from now on. The new URL will contain tenant identifier information, resulting in the tenantid being known and only asking for username and passwd for login
Q. Why was the endpoint changed?
A. The endpoint was changed to support multi-tenant. It is not expected to change soon.
Q. Was this change documented.
A. Yes, please see API Endpoint change
