Export a list of assets from the CCS Console

Issue/Introduction

You would like to export a list of assets from various Asset Groups and folders in the CCS console.

Environment

• CCS 12.6.x
• CCS 12.7

Resolution

Follow the steps below to export a list of assets from the CCS Console.

1. In the Asset System -> Asset section of the console, select the Asset Group or folder you would like to export a list of the Assets. 
   
   NOTE: If you want to export specific types of servers that are in the CCS console and don't want to create custom extra Asset Groups or folders, you can use the 'Asset Group Templates' available and select the built-in template for specific types of servers.
   
   
   
2. Click on the 'Alt' key on the keyboard once to expose the CCS console Top option bar that is hidden by default.
   
   
   
3. In the CCS console, select and highlight the Asset group, folder or built-in template that you want to get the listing of the Assets.
   
   
4. From the Top option bar, select File -> Export to and then select the format of the list you are exporting.
   
   
   
5. When prompted, Save the export to a known location.
   
   
6. You will get a pop-up window showing that the export was successful.
