Intermittent communications issue with NSX AVI controller

Issue/Introduction

1. You integrated NSX Advanced Load Balancer (ALB, formerly known as Avi Networks ) in Aria Operations.

2. You receive the following alerts on the NSX ALB objects daily (24-hour interval):

    Objects are not receiving data from adapter instance.
    Adapter instance object has error status.
    Adapter is not receiving data.

Cause

By default, the NSX ALB API has an interval to close all API sessions every 24 hours. However, Aria Operations is not aware of this and continues sending API requests with the same API user session, which have been forced to timeout on the NSX ALB side. This results in the disconnection to the NSX ALB adapter and further triggers the alerts in Aria Operations.

Resolution

There is no solution or workaround currently. A patch will be worked on and released in the future.
