No Fan Critical alarm

Issue/Introduction

When Fan is running in degraded state, no alarm generated in Smarts. 

Environment

Smarts - 10.1.x/24.3.x

TCSA - 2.x

Cause

As of today July 2025, only below states are mapped for CRITICAL for instrument driver Fan_Fault_CiscoUCSChassis (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.15.12.1.9):

• inoperable - 2
• poweredOff - 4
• removed - 6
• disabled - 13 

And Operable - 1 is mapped for OK, rest other values are mapped to Default.

Since Degraded is value 3 and falls under Default, no alarm is generated.

Resolution

Degraded is mapped under CRITICAL in Smarts 24.3.13 release which is tentatively planned for August 2025. 

Upgrade to Smarts 24.3.13 version to avail the fix.
