SRM site not being added to Aria Orchestrator inventory although the Configure Local Sites workflow shows Completed

Issue/Introduction

• The workflow Configure Local Sites is run on Orchestrator and might apparently complete successfully
• The SRM site does not appear in the Inventory
• Errors in /services-logs/prelude/vco-app/file-logs/vco-server-app.log :
  • There is some error during loading local configuration
  • com.vmware.srm.o11n.exception.SrmException: Failed to authenticate to VC server https://VCENTER_FQDN:443/sdk
  • com.vmware.vim.binding.vim.fault.NoPermission: Permission to perform this operation was denied.
• When logging in to SRM using this vCenter user, there is an error that the user does not have permission to access the site

Environment

• VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator 8.18.x
• vRO SRM plugin 9.0.x
• VMware Site Recovery Manager

Cause

These errors in the logs indicate the user chosen in the Orchestrator workflow cannot access the SRM site

Resolution

Ensure the vCenter user chosen in the workflow Configure Local Sites has appropriate permission to access this SRM site.
