In reviewing the Altiris Log Viewer, we see it is flooded with SQL access errors - note that the username is the Application Identity account:

Login failed for user '<SampleDomain\SampleUsername>'.

In this case there was an unknown issue with the Application Identity's access to the Altiris database.
The Database Administrator (DBA) was able to resolve the issue with access, but did not see a cause of the original issue.
We recommend working with your DBA to ensure rights as outlined in the article, SQL rights are needed for the Application Identity, service account, or SQL account
