Issue/Introduction

When you search for a single subproject by its name, the system shows all the sub-projects instead of filtered record.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Login as any user (eg admin)
  2. Navigate to MUX -> Projects ->Tasks ->Timeline view
  3. Make sure there are few tasks having 'Is Subproject' enabled
  4. Filte for any task by name.

Expected Results: The filtered record is displayed

Actual Results: All the tasks marked as 'Is Subproject' are displayed.

Environment

v16.3.2

Cause

When a subproject is added to existing project, the filter value Is Subproject=Yes is always passed implicitly.

Resolution

The behavior is by design.

If you want to view only the fitered records and don't want to include the subprojects in the output, you can filter them out using 'Is Subproject' = NO filter

In a scenario where you have only subprojects in the view, along with name filter you can add Is Subproject filter = Yes
