Cause

The primary reason for communication failures and management problems with vSphere Replication (VR) lies in stale service registrations within the vCenter Server Lookup Service. This critical service functions as a centralized repository, providing necessary endpoint information for all vCenter Server components and integrated solutions, including the vSphere Replication appliance, to locate and authenticate with one another.

Resolution

Steps:
1. If the vCenters are in the same SSO domain, or linked with other vCenters, take a offline snapshot of all vCenters.
