Information Centric Analytics

Issue/Introduction

You changed the Active Directory (AD) account used for the Information Centric Analytics (ICA) service account identity. After making that change, one or more of ICA's SQL Server Agent jobs fails and logs an error message similar to the following:

Message
The job failed.  Unable to determine if the owner (<domain>\<account>) of job RiskFabric Processing has server access (reason: Could not obtain information about Windows NT group/user '<domain>\<account>', error code 0x534. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 15404)).  NOTE: Failed to notify 'SQL Job Administrators' via email.

Environment

Version : 6.x

Component : Microsoft SQL Server

Resolution

Change the owner of the failing job to use the new ICA service account identity:

  1. Open SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  2. Connect to the Database Engine hosting the RiskFabric relational database
  3. In Object Explorer, navigate to SQL Server Agent > Jobs
  4. Right-click the name of the failing job and select Properties
The Job Properties - <job_name> window opens
  5. Change the Owner identity on the General page
  6. Click the OK button to close the Job Properties window

NOTE: The new ICA service account must be granted the privileges listed in the Required Steady State Privileges section of the Symantec ICA Administrator Guide
