Issue/Introduction

  • Administrators can now create rules that identify an email sender's country of origin based on their IP address and then implement rules to control and monitor the sender's emails.
  • Administrators can use this new functionality to identify the country in which an email sender's server is located so that they can block or restrict email coming from these countries.

Resolution

To use the Geo-blocking functionality in Scan-time Protection Policy :

  • Navigate to Platform>List Management and create a list of countries to include or exclude by creating a new list and then selecting Countries from the Content Type list.

  • Then, navigate to Services > Scan-time Protection Policy page, add a policy with an IF condition of Sender IP Address Country IS IN/IS NOT IN <your country list>.
  • Choose a THEN action and save the policy.

  • Then Enable the policy.
