VMware Cloud Director 10.x
The issue arises when the 'VDC Group' rights are not enabled in the rights bundle assigned to the tenant.
To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:
From the Provider Portal:
Ensure the 'VDC Group' right is enabled in the default rights bundle.
If not already enabled, modify the rights bundle to include the 'VDC Group' right. Reference: Edit a right bundle
Re-publish the updated rights bundle to the affected tenant. Reference: Publish right bundle
For Global Roles:
Verify that the 'VDC Group' right is also enabled in the 'Organization Administrator' global role.
If missing, enable 'VDC Group' right and publish the updated 'Organization Administrator' global role to the tenant. Reference: Publish a global role
From the Sub-provider Portal:
Log in to the sub-provider tenant portal using system administrator.
Confirm that the 'VDC Group' right is enabled in the default rights bundle within the sub-provider portal.
If not, update the rights bundle to include this permission.
Note: Make sure all the right under VDC group is enabled (View VDC group, Edit Security Tag, Configure VDC group, Configure VDC Group Logging).
Once all the above configurations are in place, the Data Center Groups section should be accessible from the tenant portal for users with the appropriate roles and rights.
