Issue/Introduction

Our existing applications have been using OpenTelemetry for several years, with Jaeger header propagation (uber-trace-id). However, we are unable to configure the Jaeger propagator in CA API Gateway. It appears that the required propagator class (extension JAR) is not included in the product.

• Is there documentation available on how to add custom propagators (e.g., Jaeger) to CA API Gateway?
• Could support for Jaeger propagators be included in the product by default in future releases?

Resolution

You can use any propagator of your choice as a collector as long as it is complaint . But but we don't support the other otels other than the one specific to us . And we are using by default java otel.
