Issue/Introduction

Configuring an account with a limited role and scope in order to allow access to view specific dashboards and some of the dashboard widgets display the error:

View request timed out. Please try again in a few moments

Environment

Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

The Role assigned to the account does not have enough permission to view the Object in the dashboard.

Resolution

Edit the role and apply the required permission depending on what Object is referenced in the widget.

For example: to allow permission to view vSphere Hosts and Clusters.

• • Browse to Administration - Control Panel - Access Control - Roles.
  • Select the Role and Edit.
  • Locate Inventory - Object Browser - vCenter and check the box 'vSphere Hosts and Clusters'
