Changes in the Service catalog Offerings are not updated in the Service Point unless pdm_es_rebuild is performed.

Issue/Introduction

Make any modification in the Service catalog Offerings, like name or description, the changes are instant in the catalog, but not in the Service Point. Once pdm_es_rebuild is performed, the changes are reflected in SP. 

This behavior is noted after applying RU4.

Environment

CA Service Catalog 17.4 RU4

Cause

This behavior is seen when one of the Post-install steps is not performed as mentioned in the doc:

Resolution

Add the line below in the server.xml file in USM_HOME\view\conf:

wrapper.java.additional.24=-Dorg.apache.activemq.SERIALIZABLE_PACKAGES=java.lang,javax.security,java.util,org.apache.activemq,org.fusesource.hawtbuf,com.ca,com.ca.usm.billing.ServiceManager,wv,sun
