ESXi configure NSX error “Install Failed” due to local disk slowness

Issue/Introduction

• ESXi configure NSX with error “Install Failed” in System - Fabric - Host UI
• You may notice different error messages every time checking ESXi /var/run/log/nsx-syslog.log
• Slowness obeserved during NSX vib install, more than 10 mins gap noticed between vib install and tnuuid generation.

In(30) NSX[2503778]: tnuuid = <TN-UUID>.
• Excessive storage latency logs obeserved in /var/run/log/vmkernel.log during vib install.

Cause

Local disk latency causing NSX install workflow stalled.

Resolution

Please refer to "performance has deteriorated" messages in ESXi host logs to troubleshoot storage issues.
