The customized branding logo created using the Legacy API disappears after upgrading to VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x.

Issue/Introduction

The customized logo was set using the legacy API in the previous version before the upgrade.

After the upgrade, More > Customization Portal > Themes shows that the built-in theme is applied.

Cause

Starting with VMware Cloud Director 10.6, the Legacy Branding API has been deprecated and the new Branding Themes API, which was an optional feature in previous versions, is now enabled.

Resolution

Convert legacy theme:

1. Navigate to More > Customize Portal > Themes in the provider portal.
2. Click CONVERT LEGACY THEMES.
3. Check "Apply the assignments from the legacy themes", then click CONVERT.
4. Log out and log back in to see that the theme has been applied.
