MICS Resource Management

Issue/Introduction

You have a request to activate the collection of SMF type 123 (zos connect) data in MICS. What needs to be done from a MICS perspective to begin processing SMF 123?

Resolution

The MICS Web Analyzer Option (MWEB) processes type 123 records generated by z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition (EE).
Support for SMF 123-1 & 2 Version 2 Record was provided in MICS PTF WEB6265.
Refer to Web Record descriptions for a list of records currently processed by the MWEB component.
You would first need to have the MICS Web Analyzer component installed and operational in a database unit.   Refer to Loading New Products
If you are currently using the MWEB component, have WEB6265 applied, and are logging 123 records then the information would be stored in the MICS database in the following files:

WEBWZP - zOS Connect API Provider File
WEBWZR - zOS Connect API Requester File
