Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to use a server as a pivot and monitor ports on other servers from the APMIA agent, that is, remotely monitor ports on other servers.

Resolution

Unified Infrastructure Agent(UIA) includes the probe net_connect and monitors remote ports.

UIA Setup

Configure Advanced Properties
You can also perform the following operations, as required:
  • Create groups
  • Monitor dynamic IPs
  • Configure alarm messages
  • Scan service ports
  • Find hosts
  • Show profile status
  • Test services

You can configure the probe to monitor TCP based services active on the host. You can generate alarm and QoS messages and configure responses to commands

Just create a new package in ACC with the bundle from UIA and include the Network Monitoring.
