Issue/Introduction

Checking the generated reports on Aria operations, under Operations → Reports → Generated Reports, no reports are listed. However, the reports are being successfully generated according to the schedule and are delivered to the designated recipient email addresses.

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

The issue occurs when the user attempting to view the reports is not the original owner of the report schedule.

Resolution

  • When a report is generated via a schedule, the user who created the schedule is considered the owner of the report.
  • To access the generated reports in the UI, log in using the same user account that originally created and scheduled the reports.
