Issue/Introduction

Customer cannot deploy robots successfully using the OC Setup Wizard.

Environment

  • DX UIM 23.4 CU2 and CU4

Resolution

Troubleshooting and ensuring Robot deployment when using the Operator Console

  1. First try discovering the machine using the discovery_agent n the hub/secondary hub to see if you can connect nd discover the machine using the appropriate credentials

  2. discovery_agent log and the ADE logs on the Secondary should be checked for connectivity/communication errors.

  3. Download robot_update and robot.exe and copy them into the Secondary hub's archive and if not, download them and add them into the local Hub Archive (the hub where the robot is reporting to) as they must be present in the relevant hub's archive.

  4. If the OC Robot Deployment status displays as 'Pending' its  a good sign. "Deployment is in progress." Then the OC robot deployment should succeed as it finally did during our meeting.
