Issue/Introduction

Entering the VMware Live Site Recovery change request key errors out.

Environment

VMware Live Site Recovery 9.x

Cause

This failure occurs when Enter an offline license key dialog is closed before applying the offline key. This requirement was implemented to keep on-prem and cloud site in sync and not leak data.

Resolution

Generate a new license key using the latest change request key and apply the license before closing the Enter an offline license key dialog.

Follow the instructions as mentioned in the Set up offline mode for VMware Live Site Recovery documentation

If you generate a change request key and close the Enter an offline license key dialog before applying the license, you won't be able to use that license key to activate offline mode. 

This is mentioned in the release notes of VMware Live Site Recovery 9.0.2

NOTE: This issue has been fixed in VMware Live Site Recovery 9.0.3
