Restore the deleted jobs in CA 7 database

Issue/Introduction

We deleted jobs that were not part of the clean up.  How can we restore those jobs and how fast is the process?

Resolution

For a limited number of jobs that need to be deleted from production, create a backup of the CA 7 database, copied and loaded into a test environment. To restore any deleted jobs, retrieve them from this copy of the production database using the command statement: LJOB,JOB=JOBNAME,LIST=ALL for each job and later this info can be used in BTI job to backup or restore the individual jobs info in the CA7 database.

Another option for a massive number of jobs that need to be deleted from production, use the Database Transportability (DBT) process to generate the necessary command files for the specific jobs that need to be deleted.
