False Alert "VMs that are powered off after recovery plan run" in Aria Operations

Issue/Introduction

Users may observe a false alert stating: "VMs that are powered off after recovery plan run."

This alert may appear even though the VMs have been successfully recovered and powered on.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.x and above.

Cause

The issue originates from the VMware Live Site Recovery side.

Upon analyzing the SRM database dump, it was observed that for most failover events, the count of PoweredOffVms is identical to the count of PoweredOnVms. This leads Aria Operations to interpret that some VMs are powered off post-recovery, thereby triggering the alert incorrectly.

Resolution

Upgrade VMware Live Site Recovery to version 9.0.3, which includes a fix for this issue.
