Unable to delete expired certificate from UI

Issue/Introduction

• Certificate dashboard shows expired certificate
• Unable to delete SSL certificate from Trusted Certificates, can only Update
• Error "Failed to create AI resource. Resource with same key already exists" when attempting to update vCenter Server certificate
• Deleting and re-adding associated vCenter Server adapter instance does not impact ability to delete associated expired certificate

Environment

Aria Operations vROps 8.18.3

Cause

Stale entry in the database

Resolution

Delete the certificate from Inventory Manager

1. Log into Aria Operations as a user with an admin role
2. Go to Operations > Configurations > Others: Inventory Management
3. Search for "certificates" in the Inventory Manager search bar
4. Find the problematic certificate by matching the associated thumbprint
5. Once identified, select and delete the certificate using the Delete Object button on the toolbar
