While using Network Flow Analysis you may run into an issue where the System Status of NFA in the NetOps Portal says that NFA in unavailable and you check D:\CA\NFA\REPORTER\Logs\WatchDogLog20xx-xx-xx log and see:
7:55:59 1 - MainWatchdogThread: Stop requested
7:56:31 -1 - WatchDogService: Starting up
7:56:31 5 - MainWatchdogThread: Watchdog system cycle started
7:56:31 5 - Reporter Status: SnmpVersion = 2
7:56:31 5 - Reporter Status: Starting validate
It will just hang at:
"Reporter Status: Starting validate" and doesn't move until you manually restart the NetQoS Reporter/Analyzer Watchdog Service:
(Restart of Watchdog service at 9:51 occurred and you can see it goes right back to that hung state)
All NFA versions
The server does not allow itself to be SNMP polled on 127.0.0.1
Upgrade to Network Flow Analysis 24.3.12 where the Watchdog service will use the configured D:/CA/NFA/DBusers/ReporterAnalyzer.ini ReporterAnalyzer.host= entry for its own polling address.
