DX O2 Upgrade process to 25.1 when using Openshift 4.16

Issue/Introduction

Techocs indicates that that latest version of OpenShift supported by DX O2 24.2 is 4.16 and the supported versions of OpenShift supported by 25.1 are 4.17, 4.18.

In this scenario what is the correct process to upgrade DX O2 to 25.1?

Environment

• DX O2 24.*, 25.*
• Openshift 

Resolution

1) Upgrade OpenShift first Aas it's a minor upgrade only,

2) Upgrade DX O2

 

NOTE: Upgrade from 24.2-25.1 does not need any postgres upgrades, so it is only "AIOpsManagement update" and upgrade-to-25.1.bash.  For more details refer to Techdocs DX O2 Upgrade

 

If you require to enable "Log for Triage": it  requires 3 PVs for opensearch created before upgrade start. And it also means that more CPU/Memory will be required in the cluster to start the "Log for Triage"pods. For more details refer to Techdocs Logs for Triage
