Uploading offline bundle in SDDC command line fails with "Bundle Transfer Utility Tool failed with error : Bundle manifest parsing error"

Issue/Introduction

The following commands ran to download the bundle

From OBTU machine:
lcm-bundle-transfer-util --listAsyncPatchBundles
lcm-bundle-transfer-util --download --depotUser <user-name> --b bundle-<id>

The below command used to upload the bundle.

From SDDC:
lcm-bundle-transfer-util --upload  --bundleDirectory <dir> --bundle bundle-<id>

The following error received after running the command

Note:

The Bundle location might differ based on the product patch upgrade.

Environment

VMware SDDC Manager 5.x

Cause

The issue occurs if bundles directory contains manifests file & manifests directory contains bundle file.

Resolution

• Make sure bundles directory contains only bundle file & manifests directory contains only manifests file.
• Use Winscp to copy the downloaded bundle files & manifests files into the respective folders.

In the following example, NSX-T bundle & manifests file locations mentioned 

Bundle location:

/nfs/vmware/vcf/nfs-mount/NSX_Patch/Bundle/

Manifests Location:

/nfs/vmware/vcf/nfs-mount/NSX_Patch/manifests/
