Issue/Introduction

Executing Post-Install option 3 DB2 Catalog Customization task encounters the error message:

  ISPP290  
  Panel 'INSSLDB2' error  
  The EXPAND designation is improperly used within the panel record.  
  Panel line where error was detected:  + SORT SSID\SETUP+= Reorder rows

Cause

The cause of this error condition was due to running the Post-Install 'convert vertical bar' job (found under the INS task in Post-Install option 2 File Tailor). This process modified the INSSLDB2 panel member changing '?SORT SSID|SETUP' to 'SORT SSID\SETUP'.  

Resolution

Manually edit the INSSLDB2 panel member found in highlvl.CDBAPNL0 panel library to modify the '\' back to '|' for that statement or reload the highlvl.CDBAPNL0 panel library with the contents of the highlvl.ADBAPNL0 panel distribution library.
