Issue/Introduction

Cannot SSH to the ISG Proxy SGOS CLI via PuTTY client. Seen error message is "Disconnected: Server protocol violation unespected SSH2_MSG_SSH2_MSG_UNIMPLEMENTED packet":

 

 

Resolution

  1. Refer to PuTTY WinSCP Support and Bug Reports forum "Disconnected: Server protocol violation: unexpected SSH2_MSG_UNIMPLEMENTED packet" post

  2. Check PuTTY client version making sure it is at least 0.81

  3. Check, in the specific SSH session saved settings, "Connection > SSH > KEX", that the algorithm selection policy list is as per the following:
