Linking a new VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC to vLCR fails

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Unable to attach a newly created SDDC as recovery SDDC to VLCR. 
  
  "There are no SDDC's available <availability-zone-name>"

Environment

VMware Live Cyber Recovery

 

Cause

The issue arises because the VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC and the associated cloud file system are deployed in different AWS Availability Zones (AZs).

Resolution

Deploy the VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC in the same AWS Availability Zone as the cloud file system.
